Every Spiritual Blessing is Yours in Christ

Blessed with every spiritual blessingEvery spiritual blessing is already yours in Christ — if you are a believer that is. If you are a Christian with emotional or financial trouble; if you have medical concerns or issues and problems at every hand, lit may not seem like it, but circumstances do not change the Word of God. No, the Word of God is sure.

Read it for yourself:

Ephesians 1:3  Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:

Isaiah 55:11  So shall My word be that goeth forth out of My mouth: it shall not return unto Me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

Now here’s where I have to pose a couple of questions to see if you get it or not.

Are Christians Blessed with Every Physical Blessing?

Well, physical blessings are not specifically referenced in Ephesians 1:3 are they? No, but does that mean we only have spiritual blessings? We’ll have to explore other Scripture to see. Let’s see what we can find.

3 John 1:2  Beloved, I wish above all things that you may prosper and be in health, even as your soul prospers.

The apostle John, in writing his third epistle, said he wished above all things that the believers may prosper and be in health. I believe he reflected God’s desire in this as well. But it doesn’t say we’ve been blessed with every physical blessing and I don’t think we can draw that conclusion from that one verse.

Israel Has Been Promised Physical Blessings

Genesis 26:1,2

Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father’s house, unto a land that I will shew thee:

And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:

Deuteronomy 28:1:14  And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the LORD thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth:

And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God.

Blessed shalt thou be in the city, and blessed shalt thou be in the field.

Blessed shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy ground, and the fruit of thy cattle, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep.

Blessed shall be thy basket and thy store.

Blessed shalt thou be when thou comest in, and blessed shalt thou be when thou goest out.

The LORD shall cause thine enemies that rise up against thee to be smitten before thy face: they shall come out against thee one way, and flee before thee seven ways.

The LORD shall command the blessing upon thee in thy storehouses, and in all that thou settest thine hand unto; and he shall bless thee in the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.

The LORD shall establish thee an holy people unto himself, as he hath sworn unto thee, if thou shalt keep the commandments of the LORD thy God, and walk in his ways.

And all people of the earth shall see that thou art called by the name of the LORD; and they shall be afraid of thee.

And the LORD shall make thee plenteous in goods, in the fruit of thy body, and in the fruit of thy cattle, and in the fruit of thy ground, in the land which the LORD sware unto thy fathers to give thee.

The LORD shall open unto thee his good treasure, the heaven to give the rain unto thy land in his season, and to bless all the work of thine hand: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, and thou shalt not borrow.

And the LORD shall make thee the head, and not the tail; and thou shalt be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath; if that thou hearken unto the commandments of the LORD thy God, which I command thee this day, to observe and to do them

And thou shalt not go aside from any of the words which I command thee this day, to the right hand, or to the left, to go after other gods to serve them.

Israel was promised physical blessings of land, increase, health and being a blessing to other nations but they were never promised, “every spiritual blessing.” That was reserved for us, children of God through the new birth in this dispensation of Grace under which we live.

“But I Want the Physical Blessings Too!”

I bet some of you out there are saying this too. “What can I do with spiritual blessings — I can’t take them to the bank.”  or, “I’d rather have the physical blessings.”  Such statements show how world-centered we are. We live in a material world and there are the haves and the have-nots, right? Blessing surely is shown by how much money and stuff you have, right?

I understand that sentiment, but I also understand that the primary and most valuable blessing of all is spiritual, not physical. Physical comes and goes; spiritual is eternal. Don’t be like

Spiritual blessings are on a way higher plane than physical blessings.

Genesis 25:30-34  And Esau said to Jacob, Feed me, I pray thee, with that same red pottage; for I am faint: therefore was his name called Edom.

And Jacob said, Sell me this day thy birthright.

And Esau said, Behold, I am at the point to die: and what profit shall this birthright do to me?

And Jacob said, Swear to me this day; and he sware unto him: and he sold his birthright unto Jacob.

Then Jacob gave Esau bread and pottage of lentiles; and he did eat and drink, and rose up, and went his way: thus Esau despised his birthright.

I bring up this bit of history to demonstrate how many Christians are pursuing Israel’s blessings and are ignoring their spiritual blessings in the process. I don’t know about you, but I would never trade my spiritual blessings for a pot of stew (physical blessings).  In fact I’d rather die hungry than miss out on everything God has in store for those who believe in Christ during this Age of Grace.

The Spiritual Realm Governs the Physical Realm

There is something else to consider here. The spiritual realm governs the physical realm. Surely God who is Spirit (John 4:24) can make rich who He wants to make rich and make poor who He wants to make poor. Don’t believe me?  Re-read Romans 9 and give it some deep thought.

God has not blessed us in the Christian church with every physical blessing. But understand this. Whatever you need to live and carry out His work, He shall supply.

Philippians 4:19  And my God shall supply all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.

Notice it says “needs” and not “greeds.” I’m sure that’s been pointed out to you before. What do we “need?” We need the basics such as physical sustenance and suitable clothing for the climate we live in. We need other people though that’s not as critical as having food to eat or shelter from the storm. We definitely have physical need and God will supply that as we walk with Him.

But what has God asked us to do? He’s asked us to live a godly life and to share the gospel of Christ with other people. He’s asked us to represent Him and His son Jesus in this dying material world. Whatever you need to do God’s work, He shall supply all that need as well.

Don’t be disappointed that you haven’t been blessed with every physical blessing in Christ. The physical is a breath in the wind; it comes and goes. There is nothing eternal about a physical blessing. However, spiritual blessings last forever. That’s something to live for. That’s something to really appreciate.

Thank you Father for every spiritual blessing in Christ that you have given to me your son. Thanks for all my brothers and sisters in Christ who have received these same spiritual blessings.  Help us see how special and how permanent they are. And until we receive them in full at the return of Christ and the subsequent consummation of all things, thank you for promising to supply all our need according to your riches in Christ Jesus.

Alter of Sacrifice Finished for Third Temple in Jerusalem

Alter of Sacrifice Israel

Exodus 40:29 And the altar of burnt-offering he set at the door of the tabernacle of the tent of meeting, and offered upon it the burnt-offering and the meal-offering; as the LORD commanded Moses.

Praise God! The Alter of Sacrifice has been completed by The Temple Institute in Jerusalem for the third Temple. It can be ready for sacrifice “in a moment’s notice.”

The rebuilding of the ancient temple is predicted throughout Scripture, starting with Daniel’s vision in Daniel 9:27. Jesus reiterated Daniel’s warning about an abomination standing in “the holy place” in the last days in Matthew 24:15, followed by the Apostle John’s vision of the Temple in Revelation 11:1-2. Paul mentioned it in 2 Thessalonians 2:3-4.

Ascetic Jews have long wanted to resume sacrifices but without a temple, it was impossible. Now that the alter has been finished, sacrifices can be resumed after nearly 2000 years. But the place where they want to sacrifice is the third holiest site in Islam and carrying out the sacrifice of a goat there will inflame Muslims across the middle east. For that reason, sacrifices have been banned by the Israeli government. My guess is that the alter will be used — and soon — before the third temple is actually built.

Jonathan Cahn, author of “The Harbinger” and “The Mystery of the Shemitah” also sees the announcement as significant.

“We know that end-time prophecy cannot be fulfilled without the rebuilding of the Temple in Jerusalem,” Cahn, a Messianic Jewish rabbi in New Jersey, told WND. “The abomination desolation prophesied in Daniel and in the Gospels, must take place within the Temple precincts. So, too, the apostle Paul speaks of the ‘man of sin,’ or the Antichrist, sitting in the Temple of God. What many people don’t realize is that along with the Holy of Holies, the altar of the Temple is the most central and critical part of the Temple.”

The Temple Institute Has Make All Things Ready for the Third Temple

The Temple Institute in Jerusalem has announced that it has finished building an altar suitable for the Temple service. The altar, which took several years to build, can be operational at little more than a moment’s notice, reported Matzav Haruach magazine.

The Temple Institute is committed to preparing all the necessary clothing and tools for the rebuilt Holy Temple in Jerusalem. In addition, the institute operates an educational center for visitors and a preparatory training program for members of the priestly family who wish to be ready to serve as soon as the Temple is rebuilt.

The altar is a central component to the Biblical sacrificial service. In fact, there were separate altars for the incense and for other sacrifices.

The larger altar sat in the outer courtyard of the Tabernacle, and later the Temple. It was approximately five meters (16 feet) tall and 16 meters (52.5 feet) wide, with four “horns”, or raised corners, and a ramp.

According to the Bible, the altar may not be made out of stones hewn by metal implements. The altar prepared by the Temple Institute, under the direction of architect Rabbi Shmuel Balsam, follows this requirement.

It is constructed instead from bricks fired at roughly 1,000 degrees Celsius (1,832 degrees Fahrenheit), to withstand the immense heat of the Temple’s eternal flame and the weight of the sacrificial animals. Its measurements conform to the interpretation of Maimonides.

What makes the altar so unique is that it can be disassembled and reassembled easily, allowing it to be transported quickly and efficiently from its current location, on display at the institute, to the Temple Mount when the time comes. It was inaugurated in December 2014 and is now ready for use. With Passover around the corner, and the Passover sacrifice a central component of the traditional celebration, perhaps that time will come soon!

Now that the alter has been rebuilt, expect things to move even more quickly in the Middle East.

Consider these “signs of the times” if you will.  There are so many signs converging in September of this year, 2015; is God about to do something huge?

Sign 1:  We are in the middle of a “4-blood moons” sequence during which a blood moon falls on exact Jewish holy days.

Two of the four blood moons have already occurred. The last two are in September and two weeks later in October of this year. The last two are very significant because the two holidays they fall on represent events on earth that have not yet been fulfilled.  I’ll write more about this in another post later this week.

Sign 2: A full solar eclipse will be visible from Israel on September 20, 2015.

The total solar eclipse on March 20th falls on Nisan 1, which is the first day of the first month of the Biblical calendar. According to Jewish tradition, a solar eclipse on Nisan 1 is a sign of judgment. And this has certainly been true in the past. For example, there was a solar eclipse on Nisan 1 in 70 AD. Later that year, the Romans, using largely Arab forces, attacked Jerusalem and completely destroyed the Temple. For more information about the coming solar eclipse and its possible implications see:

Sign 3: September 20th is also the anniversary of the dedication of the second Temple to the Lord.

There is an interesting foreshadowing of this end-time rebuilding event in the book of Ezra, who gave an account of the Jewish exiles returning from captivity in Persia.

“In rebuilding the temple destroyed under the Babylonian occupation, the first act of those returnees was to rebuild an altar and offer sacrifices upon it to the Lord,” Gallups said.

They did this at the site of the ruined temple. The altar was constructed under the leadership of a high priest named, of all things, Yehoshua (Joshua, or Jesus in the New Testament Greek).

The returning Jews, according to Ezra, rebuilt this holy altar despite fears of attack from surrounding enemies. After the altar was rebuilt, and regular sacrifices reinstated, the returnees celebrated their first festival — the Feast of Tabernacles.

Sign 4: The last of the blood moons coincides with the start of the  the seven-year Shemitah cycle.

As soon as the Jews settled in the Holy Land,1 they began to count and observe seven-year cycles. Every cycle would culminate in a Sabbatical year,2 known as Shemittah,3 literally: “to release.”

The year following the destruction of the second Holy Temple was the first year of a seven-year Sabbatical cycle. In the Jewish calendar, counting from Creation, this was the year 3829, 68–69 CE on the secular calendar. By counting sevens from then, we see that the next Shemittah year will be the year 5775 after Creation, which runs from Sept. 25, 2014, through Sept. 13, 2015.

That feast occurs in autumn. This year it will occur during the season of the rare tetrad of four blood moons and the seven-year Shemitah cycle described in Cahn’s book.

Ezra, chapter three, says that after the altar was rebuilt and sacrifices resumed, and when the temple had been rebuilt – the people shouted with joy, praised the Lord and wept aloud. “And the sound (of the celebration) was heard far away.”

“Now, in 2015, we have the news that once again the altar of sacrifice has been rebuilt and is ready for use,” Gallups said. “We also know of a very serious plan to rebuild the ancient temple of God upon the Temple Mount. The days of Ezra and Yehoshua appear to be upon us again. In the midst of the celebration of these facts, the sound of that celebration is once again ‘being heard far away.’ And through the modern technology of the Internet the sound is being heard around the world. These are certainly prophetic times in which we are living.”

Biltz sees the timing of the altar announcement as prophetic.

“Tomorrow, (Saturday) every Jew in synagogues around the world is reading the Torah portion from Exodus about the construction of the tabernacle,” he said. “It’s the last chapter of Exodus about the glory falling, Moses coming out and blessing the people and the glory falling on the tabernacle.

“Not only that but this next week, historically, is the very day the dedication of the tabernacle happened, on Nisan 1, that is read in the Torah portion. This year, being Saturday, March 21. It actually begins at sundown on Friday, March 20.”

As an expert in the Hebrew roots of the Christian faith, Biltz is always looking at current events in light of the times and the seasons according to the Hebrew calendar. And there is something else special this year about Nisan 1, which arrives at sundown March 20.

“Amazingly, there is also a total solar eclipse occurring at the beginning of the religious calendar on March 20. A total solar eclipse speaks of judgment coming on the nations. This is followed two weeks later by a total lunar eclipse or blood moon on Passover.”

So the fact that a remnant of Jews has prepared an altar and the sacred vessels for temple services, even if the politics are still such that constructing the temple is currently impossible, is exciting, Biltz said.

Will Christians Be Gathered This Year?

I’m not a date-setter but the coincidence of heavenly signs this year has caught my attention.  These signs are highly significant. With Nisan 1 indicating judgement of the nations, along with the rest of the signs, this could mark the beginning of the period of judgement we read about in the books of Revelation, Daniel and others.

I’m not advising people to go and sell everything they have because the Lord is returning this September for us, because there is so much we don’t know about God’s schedule of things to come. But something is brewing! Something big is about to happen and I can’t wait to see what it is.  But I’ll have to.  Wait that is.

James 5:7,8  Be patient, then, brothers and sisters, until the Lord’s coming. See how the farmer waits for the land to yield its valuable crop, patiently waiting for the autumn and spring rains.

You too, be patient and stand firm, because the Lord’s coming is near.

Titus 2:11-14  For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men. It teaches us to say ‘No’ to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age, while we wait for the blessed hope—the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, who gave Himself for us to redeem us from all wickedness and to purify for Himself a people that are His very own, eager to do what is good.

He’s coming back people! Get ready if you’re not! Get busy telling others about Jesus Christ if you are! Things will be brought to completion by Him who knows the end from the beginning.

Forging a New But Repeated Era of Christian Experience

Christian persecution at the Roman ColloseiumWe are entering a new era of Christian experience, but we’ve been here before. Under the auspices of political correctness and the fallacy of tolerance for all, Christianity is under severe attack. ISIS is killing Christians, and others, en-mass while the world watches and does little to counter it. All over the western world, Christians are being arrested for speaking the truth in love such as when a Christian evangelist visiting England was arrested for explaining to someone that the Bible speaks against homosexuality.

Muslims across the globe are working hard to eradicate Christian influence in government and culture. Claiming they are “offended” with anything that isn’t Muslim, they have been succeeding, at least partially, in denying Christians their God-given rights to free expression and assembly. And now we have churches letting them in to pray to Allah — in our own assemblies. This is nothing short of blasphemy.

Here’s an undeniable fact that cannot be overcome in any way, shape or form:

Christianity cannot coexist with Islam. The two are contrary one to the other.

Are you in any doubt about this? If so, I urge you to read the following verses and then make your mind up to whether my statement is true or not.

I John 2:21-23  I do not write to you because you do not know the truth, but because you do know it and because no lie comes from the truth.

Who is the liar? It is whoever denies that Jesus is the Christ. Such a person is the antichrist–denying the Father and the Son.

No one who denies the Son has the Father; whoever acknowledges the Son has the Father also.

Islam denies Jesus is the son of God. The Bible defines Islam as “antichrist” because of it. Christianity declares Jesus is the son of God, that he lived a perfect life by choice and that he was crucified for our sins and raised from the dead for our justification. In what sense does Islam agree with this? It doesn’t Islam denies Jesus Jesus is the son of God as well as his crucifixion and resurrection. They claim Judas was crucified in place of Jesus and that Jesus was ‘assumed’ up into heaven, having never died. They say he will return as a Muslim to declare the 12th Imam as the Mahdi who will rule the world. Jesus they say will voluntarily be in subjection to this Mahdi.

Worldwide Persecution of Christians Growing

There is a worldwide persecution of Christians already progressing. It’s getting worse week after week. Westerners are more insulated from it than those in the Middle East, and we need to stop turning our heads from it, hoping it will work out. These persecuted people need our prayer and practical help. We need to lobby our government to do something about it. Sitting back and doing nothing lets the cancer grow.

There are several places where you can get more information about Christian persecution. I’ve listed several below.

1) Open Doors:

From their site:

3) Christian Solidarity International:
Learn more about the persecution of Christians worldwide, and what you can do to help.
4) Christian Persecution Magazine:

These are just some of the many sites and organizations involved in exposing Christian persecution and helping the persecuted.  Christian persecution is being swept under the carpet by most of the major media but thank God there are people who want to expose it and help eliminate it.

A Tough Road Ahead for Christians

If you’ve read the Bible all the way through then you know as well as I do that God forewarns us of intense persecution in the last days. My friend, we are in the beginning of those last days and persecution will continue to raise it’s ugly head and increase. There is nothing we can do more than pray and help others.

While the immediate future for Christians is troublesome, we must always remember what God says about this. He says to expect it, that it is not final and that we will be victorious in the end no matter what the devil and his minions do to us in the meantime. Never let the fear or actual act of terror dissuade you.  Jesus died so you could live and he will make sure you do — when he returns.

Hold your head high and declare the Word of God with all boldness.

II Thessalonians 1:7-11  And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels,

In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:

Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power;

When he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired in all them that believe (because our testimony among you was believed) in that day.

God be with you and yours. Fight the good fight of faith with the powerful ammunition of God’s Holy Word.

Christians Experiencing Repeat of History in New Era.

Get Involved in our Massive Interactive Timeline Project

Biblical Interactive Timeline

The Christian Culture Center wants volunteers to help populate a massive Internet timeline project that chronicles Biblical and historical events. The working title for the timeline project is “God’s Plan Through the Ages” will be hosted on a brand new site called There’s not much to see there yet, except for a brief explanation of the project, but the site will eventually contain not only an interactive timeline, but a plethora of information on Biblical subjects of every kind.

To complete a project on this scale, covering thousands of years of human history and Biblical knowledge, takes a massive effort. The only way it can be done in a reasonable amount of time is to invite others to contribute. People can contribute information for any topic on the timeline, from pertinent articles to drawings, images, poems, music, and videos.

The purpose of this timeline is succinctly stated in its working title: to set forth God’s Plan Through the Ages. Were you aware that God indeed has a plan and that He’s working everything out according to His predetermined will?

Perhaps these verses will help you see it.

Ephesians 1:3-11  Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:

According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:

Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,

To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.

In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;

Wherein he hath abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence;

Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself:

That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him:

In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will:

Notice several things about this section from Ephesians.

  1. he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world
  2. according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself
  3. being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will

If you had any questions about God working everything out according to His own will, you shouldn’t now. Now be sure to  catch this phrase: “the dispensation of the fulness of times.”

What is a “dispensation?”  Here’s Merriam Webster’s definition:

Dispensation:   a: system of revealed commands and promises regulating human affairs.
b: a particular arrangement or provision especially of providence or nature.

The Bible reveals many different periods of time of God’s dealings with His people. Each period has different “commands and promises regulating human affairs.” A good synonym for “dispensation” is the word, “administration.” Think about our United States government. Every time a new president is elected, a new “administration” begins. The new administration deals with internal and external affairs in a different way than the previous administration. Some things are carried over from the previous administration but many new things are introduced with new emphasis on different issues.

One of the biggest problems people have when interpreting God’s written Word is that they ignore or missunderstand the clear administrations or dispensations that it reveals. If people would simply recognized these different ways God deals with His people in different periods of time, most of the errors in interpretation would be eliminated.

Another concept that requires scrutiny is that of the ‘eons’ presented in God’s Word. An ‘eon’ is an indeterminate period of time. The context in which the word appears determines the scope of that period of time. There are many different ‘ages’ described in God’s Word such as the “age of Grace” that we currently live in.

Ephesians 2:7  That in the ages to come he might show the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.

Ephesians 3:1-5  For this cause I Paul, the prisoner of Jesus Christ for you Gentiles,

If ye have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which is given me to you-ward:

How that by revelation he made known unto me the mystery; (as I wrote afore in few words,

Whereby, when ye read, ye may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ)

Which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit;

That the Gentiles should be fellowheirs, and of the same body, and partakers of his promise in Christ by the gospel:

Whereof I was made a minister, according to the gift of the grace of God given unto me by the effectual working of his power.

Notice the phrase, “If ye have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which is given me.” and, Whereof I was made a minister, according to the gift of the grace of God given unto me.”  Clearly the apostle Paul is defining the ministry God gave him here. He calls it “the dispensation,” or more properly, “the administration” {Greek “oikanomia” = the stewardship of a household) of the grace of God which God gave to Paul to teach to others. This is the  period of time we live in now as opposed to the age of the Mosaic law.

Those are just a couple examples of why this timeline will be so valuable. It will set forth the different ages  as well as the different dispensations or administrations of God’s dealings with mankind, culminating in what’s called, “the consummation” when, finally, God is “all in all.” People will be able to see — at a glance — God’s entire Plan which is the restitution of all things and becoming “all in all.”

I Corinthians 15:28  And when all things shall be subdued unto him [Christ], then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be all in all.

That is God’s ultimate purpose my friend:  “that God may be all in all.” This is what Go is working toward and what He has purposed within Himself that He is bringing to pass, according to His own will.

Here are a few other verses about God’s sovereignty.

Acts 3:17-21  And now, brethren, I wot that through ignorance ye did it [crucified the Christ], as did also your rulers.

But those things, which God before had shewed by the mouth of all his prophets, that Christ should suffer, he hath so fulfilled.

Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord;

And he shall send Jesus Christ, which before was preached unto you:

Whom the heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began.

The “restitution of all things” has always been God’s plan from the beginning.

Isaiah 14:24-27  The LORD of hosts hath sworn, saying, Surely as I have thought, so shall it come to pass; and as I have purposed, so shall it stand:

That I will break the Assyrian in my land, and upon my mountains tread him under foot: then shall his yoke depart from off them, and his burden depart from off their shoulders.

Thisis the purpose that is purposed upon the whole earth: and this is the hand that is stretched out upon all the nations.

For the LORD of hosts hath purposed, and who shall disannul it? and his hand is stretched out, and who shall turn it back?

Wake Up America: While Good People Do Nothing… Evil Infiltrates

Wake Up America and Fight Evil -- Einstein

We live at a pivotal point in the history of the human race. Soon every living person will be required to make a decision to stand with the one true God, the Creator of the heavens and the earth and the father of our Lord Jesus, or with the ‘man of sin.’ Who that man if sin is has not yet been revealed, but that he is coming has been revealed.

II Thessalonians 2:3-5  Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day [the Day of the Christ or Day of the Lord] shall not come, except there come the falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;

Who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God, or that is worshiped; so that he as God sits in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.

Do you not remember, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things?

That ‘man of sin’ is coming and he will turn all who are not the ‘elect’ to a false God the Bible calls “the god of war.” This ‘god of war’ will behead anyone who doesn’t confess that god as the only true god and a certain someone as his only prophet. Christians will be beheaded by the millions — yes, I said millions — and 2/3 of Israel will die as well. This is nothing to laugh about and certainly nothing to ignore.

Right before us in the daily news we read about these things happening. The persecution of anyone who does not subscribe to this particular belief system includes beheading, burning at the stake, making sex slaves out of children and mass murder. To deny there is any spiritual aspect to this mayhem is blindness and total ignorance. While our president apologizes for Islam, ISIS continues to grow by the thousands. With little conviction to defeat and eliminate this threat from the face of the earth, it is only bound to grow like a cancer until it consumes the entire middle east and other countries of this world.

Alarmist?  Am I being alarmist?  No, I’m being sober-minded and reality-driven.  Positive thinking isn’t going to change things.  Thinking it will is also an example of total ignorance. The world is not getting better — it’s getting more spiritually polluted every day. An alarmist is one who evokes false fear in people over supposed dangers. What I’m trying to do is help people wake up to smell the death around them. This threat is both real and immediate and if our government is only willing to play lip service to eradicating it, the we the poeple ahve to do something about it.

Educate People About the Real Threat

This battle being raged is spiritual in nature. Spirits control the nations of this world — I know this because the Bible tells me so.

Daniel 10:12,13  Then said he unto me, Fear not, Daniel: for from the first day that you did set your heart to understand, and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard, and I have come because of your words.

But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me twenty-one days: and behold, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me; and I remained there with the kings of Persia.

The ‘prince of Persia’ was the evil spiritual being guiding the ‘kings’ of Persia. There are other indications of this in God’s Word as well. Spiritual entities are in authority over earthly authorities. No man in any position of power is acting completely on his own will. This is the truth from Scripture.

The best thing you and I can do is to educate people about what is truly going on here on planet earth. What people want — peace, love, prosperity and happiness — they will not get from this world. They only get tastes of it — small samples of what it should be like — but they will never and can never receive those things in full from this world. When they turn to God, through Jesus Christ, they will begin to experience the true riches of the ages to come after all things are wrapped up and rectified with the return of Jesus Christ to the earth.

If you are concerned about what’s going on and are serious about doing something about it, I encourage you to get involved with other in your local community, or online if you cannot find anyone local. There are organizations committed to exposing the truth. Silence is golden but not when something needs to be said and heeded. Don’t be afraid to “rock the boat” because if enough people do not, we soon will not have a “boat” to rock.

God bless you all who are committed to the truth, awaiting our Lord Jesus Christ’s return from heaven. Let’s get busy and tell others what’s going on and what is about to happen. Now’s the time.

II Corinthians 6:2  For he says, “In the time of my favor I heard you, and in the day of salvation I helped you.” I tell you, now is the time of God’s favor, now is the day of salvation.

Get out there and speak up. Don’t be afraid of people or the adversary. It’s Christ in you — the hope of glory.  You can do all things through Christ who infuses you with inner strength. Go for it, he is within you and with you.

Is There a Holy War Against Islamic Terrorists?

Holy War

Is there a Holy War going on now? If you haven’t read the news in the past few years you might think not, but every day we are bombarded with news about Islamic terrorism, extremism, beheadings, people being burned alive and Jihad being declared against the West. From the information I’ve been receiving I’d have to answer a resounding, “YES — there IS a Holy War going on.” The war has been declared by the Islamic State (ISIS, ISIL, etc.) against Western countries, Christians, Jews and anyone who they come across that won’t convert to Muslim theology. The only people who question whether a holy war is going on or not is the present White House administration.

In an unprecedented move, Bill O’Reilly on Fox News has asked leaders from the Christian, Jewish and Muslim communities to take action right now to combat this global threat. Thousands of responses of support are flooding in and this got me thinking of our part as Christians in this battle. Surely God has not called us to take up arms or swords and fight a bloody to-the-death battle. Didn’t Christ say to turn the other cheek? Let’s think about this a little before we get too hasty.

You’ve seen this verse many times on and I want to repeat it here to cement it into your mind and heart. It has to do with the real battle going on.

Ephesians 6:12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.

We live in a spiritual world. God is over all and in control of all. It may not seem like that to our human eyes, but God knows the end from the beginning, and works all things after the counsel of His own will.

Isaiah 46:10  I make known the end from the beginning, from ancient times, what is still to come. I say, ‘My purpose will stand, and I will do all that I please.’

Ephesians 1:11  In him we were also chosen, having been predestined according to the plan of him who works out everything in conformity with the purpose of his will,

Whether we understand things from a spiritual perspective or not, it’s real and it’s happening 24 hours a day, every day of the year, every year of our existence. Spiritual warfare cannot be fought with physical weapons however the physical battles that ensue due to those spiritual causes can be.

What’s the Christian’s role in all this?  Fight or turn the other cheek?

As Christians we turn the other cheek to our enemies, but as Christians we also do whatever is in our power to check the enemy and defeat him. In our case we have civil government that has as its primary purpose to protect the people of our nation. Our Christian response therefore is to raise awareness of what’s going on and demand our government do something about it quickly.  Let me repeat that for clarity.

Our Christian response is to raise awareness of what’s going on and demand our government do something about it quickly.

If you preach or teach, talk about what’s going on with those in your congregations or homes. All of us should talk about it with our families, friends and fellow workers. We can all petition our Representatives in Congress to do the right thing. We can write letters and spread awareness of the present danger — and believe me, it is a present danger.

I was very impressed with Franklin Graham (Billy Graham’s son) who voiced his concerns with the present Jihad publicly this week. He’s calling for Obama and his administration to get a grip on what’s going on, to clearly identify the enemy instead of sidestepping it, and do something right now to mount a death-blow to the Islamic State. Good for him, praise God!  We need more people in positions of influence to do the same thing.

There are some 35 verses in the Koran and their accepted writings that call for death to the ‘infadel.’ the ‘infadel’ is described as anyone who does not accept Allah as he only God and Mohammed as his only prophet. This forced belief system is completely contrary to God’s revealed Word and is the enemy of all righteousness. It’s father is the devil and it’s destiny is the Lake of Fire. Let no man deceive you by any means — he who confesses not that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God is an Antichrist and a deceiver.

I John 2:22  Who is the liar? It is whoever denies that Jesus is the Christ. Such a person is the antichrist–denying the Father and the Son.

There you have it — God said it, not me. I repeat only what He has already said about it.

I encourage people of all belief systems to get more vocal about the growing global threat of Islamic terrorism and Jihad. Their stated goal is to capture the entire world for Allah and they have committed to kill anyone and everyone who refuses to go along with them. You have been warned; now is the time to act. Get more information on what’s happening around you and join in with others who see it too. Do something to make a difference, but by all means, keep your sword in your sheath.

God bless you who stand for the truth against lies.

A Sprinkle of Salt Helps Wherever It Is Found

Salt of the World, Light of the World

Should a Christian go into the entertainment business knowing it’s controlled by non-godly people who are actively promoting misinformation, sensuality and downright deception?  That’s a good question. Many of us have had questions like this as we seek jobs and relationships with other people.

We know what the Word of God says on this subject.

II Corinthians 6:14-18  Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?

And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?

And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.

Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,

And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.

That’s pretty clear. We’re not to be “unequally yoked.” If you have two mules pulling a cart and one is twice as strong as the other, the cart is going to go around in circles. That’s an example of being unequally yoked. But do these verses mean we cannot work in an industry that is dominated by darkness? Does it mean we cannot work for a company that isn’t Christian owned and operated?  I don’t think so.

Let’s look at some more Word on this subject before we draw our conclusions.

I Corinthians 5:9-12  I wrote unto you in an epistle not to company with fornicators:

Yet not altogether with the fornicators of this world, or with the covetous, or extortioners, or with idolaters; for then must ye needs go out of the world.

But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat.

For what have I to do to judge them also that are without? do not ye judge them that are within?

But them that are without God judgeth. Therefore put away from among yourselves that wicked person.

Here’s the heart of the matter. Paul makes the distinction between Christians and unbelievers. He plainly says we are not to keep company with a Christian who is indulging in the works of the flesh. He’s careful to say he doesn’t mean unbelievers because if he did that means we couldn’t be a viable spiritual force in the world as we go about living life, sharing God’s Word and building relationships.

Here’s another verse for us to consider.

I Corinthians 15:33,34  Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners.

Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame.

The NIV says it this way:  “Do not be misled: “Bad company corrupts good character.” The idea is that if we hang around with corrupt people, we stand the risk of being corrupted ourselves.

With all this solid, good Word of God to go by, what is the answer?

Matthew 5:13-16  Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.

Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.

Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.

Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

You Are God’s Asset

Think of yourself as God’s asset. He purchased you with the price of His only begotten Son. He has sent you into the world to sprinkle it with salt and to enlighten it. You are the light of the world. Have you the boldness to say that out loud?  Say it now!  “I am the light of the world.” Did you say it?

I’m thinking you either didn’t say it or you hesitated. I know I hesitated. Jesus is the light of the world; it almost sounds sacrilegious to say I am the light of the world.  But Jesus said I, Richard Golko, am the light of the world because I represent him in this world. I am a light-bearer. Are you?

Sprinkle Your Salt Everywhere You Are, Whatever You are Doing

Let’s look at Jesus’ heart on this matter.

John 6:6-17   I have revealed you to those whom you gave me out of the world. They were yours; you gave them to me and they have obeyed your word.

Now they know that everything you have given me comes from you.

For I gave them the words you gave me and they accepted them. They knew with certainty that I came from you, and they believed that you sent me.

I pray for them. I am not praying for the world, but for those you have given me, for they are yours.

All I have is yours, and all you have is mine. And glory has come to me through them.

I will remain in the world no longer, but they are still in the world, and I am coming to you. Holy Father, protect them by the power of your name, the name you gave me, so that they may be one as we are one.

While I was with them, I protected them and kept them safe byc that name you gave me. None has been lost except the one doomed to destruction so that Scripture would be fulfilled.

“I am coming to you now, but I say these things while I am still in the world, so that they may have the full measure of my joy within them.

I have given them your word and the world has hated them, for they are not of the world any more than I am of the world.

My prayer is not that you take them out of the world but that you protect them from the evil one.

They are not of the world, even as I am not of it.

Sanctify them by the truth; your word is truth.

As you sent me into the world, I have sent them into the world.

For them I sanctify myself, that they too may be truly sanctified.

We are in this world but not of it. We are sent into this world to bear witness to Jesus Christ, the Savior of the world. If we take ourselves out of every place the devil has a stronghold, we cannot take a stand for our Lord Jesus Christ in those places. A little sprinkle of salt goes a long way where none can be found. You are that salt. You are that light. Don’t fear and don’t make yourself so self-righteous that you cannot possibly enter such a place. Keep your identity in Christ in the forefront of your renewed mind and be a Christian wherever you are.

I’m obviously not talking about getting into industries that are totally corrupt such as the porn industry. Those things that are expressly prohibited by God are not an option for Christians. I’m also not talking about subjecting yourself to temptations you know you have a hard time resisting. If you have a history of temptation in a certain area, you’re silly to put yourself into situations where you are tempted. Don’t be childish in your understanding of these things, be mature and use the Word of God as your guiding light.

Romans 12:2  And be not conformed to this world: but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

You can work for any company you want unless God specifically tells you not to. You can enter the entertainment industry, you can work at a company that has a Satanic symbol in its logo, whatever. God needs people everywhere and you can go where angels fear to tread. The key is keeping your spiritual head on. If you find that you’re in a situation where the temptation is too great  or the things being done are too ungodly for you to sustain your renewed mind and try to make a difference, then I’d say at that point you need to do whatever you need to do to keep yourself in fellowship with your Father God and your Lord Jesus Christ.

Rely on the spirit of God within you and renew your mind to God’s Word. Take a stand for Jesus wherever you are and be that salt, be that light. God bless you in Jesus’ name.  Stand!
